Open the Discover tab, search for a show, and tap the + button — or open the show and tap Track Show. You can also browse Today, Trending and Genres if you are looking for something new.

Tap any episode to toggle it. Use the double-check button next to a season to mark the whole season, or long-press an episode to mark everything up to that point. The check button on the Home screen marks the next episode in one tap.

Yes. Export a CSV from the other app, then open Your Stats → Import from another app and pick the file. NextEp matches shows by IMDb id, TVDB id or name and year, shows you what it found, and only starts importing after you confirm. A spreadsheet you made yourself works too, as long as it has a show column.

Yes — archive it from the show screen (the eye button). Archived shows disappear from Up Next and from the widget, but keep every episode you marked. You can see them again with the Archived filter on My Shows.

Long-press an empty spot on your iPhone home screen, tap + in the corner, search for NextEp and pick the small or medium Up Next widget. It shows the episodes waiting for you and what airs next, and refreshes as you mark episodes watched. If it looks empty at first, open NextEp once so it has something to show.

Turn on New episode alerts in Your Stats → Notifications, then pick a time and whether you want them on air day or the day before. Reminders are scheduled on your device from air dates the app already knows — there is no account and no push server involved.

Check that notifications are allowed for NextEp in iOS Settings → Notifications. Also note iOS keeps a limited number of pending reminders per app, so NextEp schedules the nearest ones and refreshes the list every time you open the app.

Yes. Open an episode and tap Add to calendar. NextEp pre-fills your system's own event form with the show, episode and air date — nothing is written to your calendar unless you save it.

Entirely on your device. NextEp has no accounts and no cloud — your data stays with you. See our Privacy Policy.

Two ways. NextEp is included in your iPhone's iCloud backup, so restoring a new device from that backup brings the library with it. Or open Your Stats → Export backup, save the file somewhere you control (Files, iCloud Drive, email), then tap Restore backup on the new phone and pick it.

Merge keeps the shows you already track and adds anything from the backup on top. Replace deletes the current library first, so the result matches the backup exactly. The app asks twice before replacing.

Removing a show from tracking deletes its watch history on your device. This can't be undone, so the app asks you to confirm first. If you only want it out of the way, archive it instead.

Your data lives only on the device, so deleting the app deletes your watch history with it — unless you exported a backup first, or restore the phone from an iCloud backup that included NextEp.

Pull down on the Home screen (or tap the refresh button) to check your shows for new episodes. Show data comes from the community-run TVMaze database, so very recent announcements can take a little time to appear.

Yes. NextEp re-checks ended shows about once a week, so revivals and new seasons are picked up automatically.

Show information comes straight from TVMaze, which volunteers maintain. Corrections made there reach the app the next time it refreshes that show.
