Frequently Asked Questions

Where is my watch history stored?

Entirely on your device. NextEp has no accounts and no cloud — your data stays with you. See our Privacy Policy.

How do I add a show?

Open the Discover tab, search for a show, and tap the + button — or open the show and tap Track Show.

How do I mark episodes as watched?

Tap any episode to toggle it. Use the double-check button next to a season to mark the whole season, or long-press an episode to mark everything up to that point. The check button on the Home screen marks the next episode in one tap.

Why don't I see a new episode of my show?

Pull down on the Home screen (or tap the refresh button) to check your shows for new episodes. Show data comes from the community-run TVMaze database, so very recent announcements can take a little time to appear.

A show ended but came back — will NextEp notice?

Yes. NextEp re-checks ended shows about once a week, so revivals and new seasons are picked up automatically.

What happens if I delete a show?

Removing a show from tracking deletes its watch history on your device. This can't be undone, so the app asks you to confirm first.

What happens if I delete the app?

Your data lives only on the device, so deleting the app deletes your watch history too. Back-up and sync features may come in a future update.
